This release note applies to all 8.5 releases of Workforce Management (WFM) Configuration Utility.
In release 8.5.1, WFM Configuration Utility was discontinued and is no longer supported. Its functionality is incorporated into Workforce Management Web. For details, see the Workforce Management Web Release Note.
Genesys follows applicable third-party redistribution policies to the extent that Genesys solutions utilize third-party functionality. In Configuration Utility, the About window now displays the correct release number (8.5.0) after login. Previously, the About window incorrectly displayed WFM Configuration Utility 8.1.3 (but with the correct Program version: 8.5.000.00). (WFM-21860)
Data Aggregator settings that are hidden cannot be updated for Business Units or Sites, when the Configuration Utility OptionalSettings > HideDA_settings option is set to True. Previously, Data Aggregator settings could sometimes be updated, even though they were hidden. (WFM-21869)
Agents and Activity types now display correctly in Configuration Utility. Previously, in Configuration > Organization > Agent Properties the Agent could sometimes be incorrectly skilled as Secondary or Primary for an Activity, based only on the Agent's skills configuration, disregarding the Activity type directly assigned to the Agent. (WFM-21952)
Allow synchronization security option now disables user access to the synchronization functionality, if there is at least one other user whose access is enabled by this security option. Previously, users could perform synchronization, regardless of whether access was enabled or disabled by this security option setting. (WFM-22044)

In the WFM Configuration Utility 8.5.0, when Help > About is clicked, the label incorrectly displays "WFM Configuration Utility 8.1.3" whereas, it should display "WFM Configuration Utility 8.5.0". (The program version 8.5.000.00 is correct.) This minor issue will be corrected in the next WFM 8.5 release. (WFM-21860)

WFM Configuration Utility incorrectly synchronizes Daylight Saving Time (DST) end time with the time zone application in Configuration Manager when the Do not synchronize in Daylight Saving Time check box is unchecked. The issue occurs when the LocalTimezones option time changes as expected for DST, and then the end time shifts, causing a difference of 1 hour. (ER# 317814745)

This 8.5.x product release supports Language Packs. However, it does not support 8.1.x Language Packs. Use 8.5.x-compatible Language Packs upon their availability.

Workforce Management Configuration Utility Help explains how to use the WFM Configuration Utility to set up WFM objects (such as sites, time zones, and Agents) and constraints (such as security settings, working hours, and time-off rules).
Workforce Management Web for Supervisors Help explains how to use the Supervisor web interface to create forecasts and schedules, make schedule and staffing changes, and to track Agent real-time adherence and contact center performance. WFM Web for Supervisors also contains the WFM reporting functions.
